Our terroir is more than land — it is heritage, memory, and potential. For me, it began with my family’s orchard, passed down through four generations. From that soil, I created Wata Cider, Lebanon’s first modern cider — a way to honor our apples, reimagine our traditions, and offer a new experience rooted in authenticity yet open to the world.

This table is about that same journey: how we, as women entrepreneurs, create from what surrounds us — our land, our community, our culture, and our lived experiences. How do we truly capitalize on our resources and capacities? How do we connect with one another to share knowledge, open new doors, and amplify our impact? And how do we continue to innovate while remaining faithful to our origins?

Through my story with Wata and through yours, we’ll explore what it means to build from terroir to creation — shaping products and ideas that resonate locally and globally, blending tradition with modernity, and carrying our heritage into the future.

Founder and cidermaker at Wata Cider.

I grew up on my family’s orchard and turned that heritage into the leading modern cider brand of Lebanon.

I’m passionate about entrepreneurship, building from our terroir, and creating spaces where we can share, connect,

and grow together.

Please note: 25$ is Her Table connection fee including WATA drinks and bites

The Questions :

From terroir to creation: How do you draw inspiration from your roots, your community, or your environment when creating something new?

On resources & capacity: What untapped resources — skills, networks, traditions — do you think women entrepreneurs in Lebanon and the region can better capitalize on?

On connection: How can women entrepreneurs collaborate more effectively, both locally and globally, to amplify each other’s impact?

On resonance: What makes a product or idea truly connect with people — not only in Lebanon but also on an international stage?

On innovation: How do you balance honoring tradition with the need to innovate and stay relevant in fast-changing markets?
